Starting their career as a founding member of DorranceDance, Caleb is considered one of the foremost tap dance soloists in the world. Known for their musicality and stylish approach, Caleb is regularly sought after for high-profile tap-dance-as-music collaborations, including Soloist appearances with acclaimed symphony orchestras, modern jazz stars, and indie rock legends. They are the only tap dancer to be presented by NPR’s acclaimed Tiny Desk Concert series!
Caleb is also regarded internationally as a leading exponent of Vernacular Jazz Dance. Often in partnership with one of Lindy Hop’s most eminent artists, Nathan Bugh, Teicher’s swing and jazz dance work beyond SW!NG OUT includes teaching positions at many of the world’s most acclaimed swing dance festivals.
In 2021, Caleb founded a Lindy Hop program at the 92NY in partnership with swing dancers Gaby Cook and Nathan Bugh. Classes continue to run weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays.
In 2023, Caleb received 1st place at the International Lindy Hop Championships in the Invitational Solo Jazz division, one of the highest achievements in present-day Vernacular Jazz dance.
